5 Most Useful YouTube Shortcuts You Should Know

There are some very useful YouTube shortcuts from your keyboard that can help you save a lot of time. So we are going to show you the 5 most amazing YouTube Shortcuts that you must know!

5 Most Useful YouTube Shortcuts You Should Know

1. The F Key

By pressing the ‘F’ key on your keyboard while watching a video on youtube, you can take your video player to a full-screen mode. And by pressing the ‘F’ key again, you can exit the full-screen mode.  So you don’t have to reach your cursor all the way to the video player to watch a video in full screen. You can do it without leavening the comfort of your keyboard.

2. The J and L Key

Do you know pressing the ‘J’ key on your keyboard while watching a video on youtube, you can rewind the video by 10 seconds? You can also forward the video by 10 seconds, just by pressing the L key. So if you want to rewind or forward the video somewhere near, these shortcuts will surely help you.

3. The M Key

While watching a YouTube video you can click the on the ‘M’ key to mute the audio. So, if you quickly wanted to mute the audio in a situation where it is difficult to reach out for the volume knob, you can just press the ‘M’ key. You can also un-mute by pressing the same key once again.

4. The K Key

Do you know if you press ‘k’ key on your keyboard while watching a YouTube video, you will end up pausing? Pressing it again will resume the video. And I know you can do it by pressing the space bar instead. But I think it’s more useful if you are a person, who likes to rest their fingers on the top of the keyboard while watching. Try it and I’m sure you will feel more comfortable.

5. 0 to 9 Number Keys

While watching any video, you can just press any of the number keys from 0 to 9 to skip parts of the video. For example, if you press ‘3’, you’ll skip 30% of the video from the beginning. Similarly, if you press 4, you will skip 40%. Pressing 0 will get you back to the beginning. While pressing 9 will get you to the ending of the video.

I found these shortcuts very useful, especially while I’m watching long or lengthy videos. I hope you will also feel comfortable after using them.
